Rakesh Bandari was working as a digital marketer in 2018 — running campaigns for clients in USA, UK and India — when he noticed a pattern. Freshers kept applying to agencies without knowing how to run a basic Google Ads campaign. Institutes were teaching theory. Nobody was teaching them to actually do the job.
He rented a small room in Madhapur, Hyderabad, and started teaching 12 students everything he knew from his client work. No slides borrowed from YouTube. No recycled PPTs. Just real campaign walkthroughs, live tools, and honest feedback — the same things he did every day for paying clients.
Word spread. Within a year, every student from that first batch had a job. Some were freelancing. One started an agency. Two joined companies in Bangalore.
Today, Impact Digital Marketing Institute has trained over 2,000 students across Hyderabad and beyond. The classroom is bigger. The tools have changed — AI is now woven into every module. But the principle is still the same: if a student can't apply it at work tomorrow, we haven't taught it properly yet.
We still cap batches at 15 students. Rakesh still personally teaches every batch. And we still measure our success the same way we always have — by how many students get placed, not how many enroll.
